For those who missed it a few pictures of the Kwahadi dancers from Texas are on the group album. fantastic evening at The Wilderness Centre on 31st July.
Welcome to 1st Upton St Leonard’s Scout Troop, we are a mixed troop which meets on a Friday night.
Our programme varies a lot from term to term but some of the highlights from last year were: Rifle Shooting, Archery, Climbing, Abseiling, Kayaking, Caving, Grass Sledging, Mountain boarding, Hill walking, Athletics, First Aid, Skiing, Fire Lighting, Circus Skills, Bivouacking, Scuba Diving and Survival Skills.
We also enjoy camping and last year provided the opportunity for Scouts to camp for up to 30 nights. The camps we ran last year included:
Operation Bald Eagle (an incident hike held near Evesham)
Essex International Jamboree (with over 10,000 Scouts and Guides from around the world)
Group Camp in Hereford
This year our Scouts have attended numerous camps among which the highlights were a return visit to our sister Troop 1776, Atlanta. This was a two week long trip over to America during which the Scouts enjoyed home hospitality and experiencing an American style Scout camp.

In Scouts we work in 5 patrols, Cobra, Hawk, Kestral, Tiger and Wolf. The patrols each have a patrol leader and an assistant patrol leader. There is also a senior patrol leader who is an older patrol leader who helps the leaders and the patrol leaders

TWO Christmas Shows for the price of one!! As the Group is so large now, we'll present two Christmas Shows this year - 12 and 19 December. Come along and get in the Christmas spirit!
Well done to Tia, Sophie, Dannii, Tab, Will and Rishona for turning up to the Explorers fundraiser this morning, raising lots of money and improving the nations gardens!
